Students are required to maintain continuous registrationduring the program. There are three terms in the Program: Summer (May to August inclusive), Fall (September to December inclusive), and Winter (January to April inclusive). The following protocols regarding Withdrawals, Transfers, and Leave of Absence situations apply.
Doctoral study is highly concentrated, demanding, and time consuming. The program is structured to allow full-time or part-time study combined with the required residency periods. Below outlines the requirements of full- and part-time statuses.
Must maintain regular contact with supervisor, instructors, and colleagues
Must be available geographically to visit campus regularly
May be employed at home university – typically limited to 10 hours per week
Part-Time students have no restriction on hours of paid employment
However, part-time students must complete a two consecutive term residency, where full-time status is required (and restrictions apply -please see Program Handbook)
