Library: 

  • The James A. Gibson Library is the main library, and is located in the Schmon Tower of the St. Catharines Campus. Other libraries include the Instructional Resource Centre, housing practical curriculum and teaching materials, in the Faculty of Education, and the Map, Data & GIS Library in the Mackenzie Chown building. Your student ID will allow you to borrow materials in all libraries.
  • In addition to print materials, the Library offers access to ebooks and online journals through the Library website at https://brocku.ca/library/. Use your Brock login credentials to access online journal articles, ebooks, streaming video, primary source databases, and much more.

Athletics and Recreation:

  • Brock University offers Joint PhD students the ability to use the Walker Sport Complex which is located at the west end of the campus, very near to Welch Hall, the Faculty of Education.  The facilities include a 50-meter pool, whirlpool, indoor recreation track, 3 gymnasiums, squash courts, indoor rowing tank, the Zone Fitness Centre and outdoor fields and tennis courts.
  • In order to gain admission to the facilities, you must use your Brock University Student card.
  • Summer Hours:  Weekdays 7am-10pm and Weekends 10am-3pm

  • For those students who will be travelling to the Brock campus with family and younger children, there are a variety of Summer camps and swimming lessons available.  Please visit this site for more details:  www.brocku.ca/kids.  Registration opens March 1, 2019.

Child Care: 

  •  For those students who are travelling with family and require daycare for their younger children, the Rosalind Bauder Centre for Child Care is located right on the southwest portion of the campus.  The Rosalind Bauder Centre offers infant, toddler, junior and senior preschool programming.  Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30-6:00pm.  To place your child on a waitlist and book a tour of the facilities visit:  https://brocku.ca/childcare/wait-list/ or contact 905-688-5550 X 3515.
